Discovery & design / INDEPENDENT FIELD GUIDE

Web Design Tags Feed

Design a tagged-content site around reading, orientation, and clear choices. Strong color should support the hierarchy rather than replace it.

Make the next click feel obvious.

The core idea

A feed interface needs to communicate subject, content type, and destination quickly. Consistent cards and headings help readers compare items, while a clear topic introduction explains the collection. Keep visual labels understandable in text so meaning does not depend only on color or an unfamiliar icon.

A workable starting pattern

Begin with a homepage-to-article reading path. Test a narrow screen, keyboard focus, long headings, and image-free reading. Keep navigation reachable without allowing a sticky header to hide section titles. Use real content during layout review so the design handles uneven excerpts and descriptive link labels.

AN EXAMPLE TO THINK THROUGH

A vivid topic card can use a short heading, a useful scope sentence, and one clear link. It does not need a nonfunctional search box or a dashboard control to look complete.

What this page does—and does not—offer

TagsFeed offers written design guidance, not a design editor or website-generation tool. The site’s controls navigate its existing content.
