Feed foundations / INDEPENDENT FIELD GUIDE

Fulltext Tags Feed

Full-text syndication changes how an article is read outside its original page. Plan readability, attribution, portable links, and permitted content handling together.

Keep the whole article in view.

The core idea

A full-text representation carries more than an excerpt, but it still needs a clear relationship to the original source. Preserve headings and meaningful link text. Remove interface instructions that depend on buttons or navigation absent from the feed reader. Keep the article understandable when images are not displayed.

A workable starting pattern

For material you publish, generate the feed body from the same reviewed content used on the site. For third-party material, establish what handling and redistribution are permitted before copying it. Record that decision alongside the source instead of treating technical accessibility as editorial approval.

AN EXAMPLE TO THINK THROUGH

A code tutorial can retain its explanation and code block in a feed while omitting site navigation. Relative image paths should be resolved for the published feed so readers can open the intended resource outside the website.

What this page does—and does not—offer

TagsFeed does not bypass paywalls, scrape private material, or offer full-text extraction. Its own RSS feed includes the full bodies of the Lab articles.
