The core idea
A current web page and an earlier saved representation can differ for good reasons. Keep source identity, capture context, and revision information distinct. An archive also needs the topic vocabulary and relationships that make its items understandable; article files alone may not reconstruct the collection’s editorial structure.
A workable starting pattern
Define what should be retained and for how long under your content-handling policy. Export a manifest, keep source and derived annotations separate, and test restoration in a clean location. Record tag merges and meaningful content revisions so a historical snapshot remains interpretable after the live collection changes.
A renamed topic can keep the same concept identity while an old snapshot displays the earlier label. Recording the vocabulary change explains the difference without pretending the article was newly published.
What this page does—and does not—offer
TagsFeed does not store visitor archives or provide historical third-party datasets. This page explains a recoverable collection design.
